When the right words are hard to find, you can rest assured that flowers can express your feelings and help to say goodbye in the most perfect way. They can also offer sympathy and comfort to those who have lost a loved one. When you’re unable to attend a funeral, flowers can show family and friends that they are in your thoughts.
The Blossom Room is here to support you in choosing a fitting and appropriate tribute, whether that be a spray or wreath, at such a difficult and sensitive time. We are also able to create bespoke tributes to reflect passions, hobbies and really make something truly personal and special.
Our compassionate and skilled florists will do their utmost to provide you with beautiful and thoughtful floral displays. We offer home consultations or we have a dedicated private space within our premises, whichever you would prefer. We then liase with the funeral director to make appropriate arrangements, delivering direct to them, so you have one less thing to think about and be confident that your wishes for the last goodbye are taken care of.

Funeral Information and Advice
There are a variety of ways to handle this:
Most commonly, tributes are delivered directly to the funeral director who is taking care of the deceased prior to the funeral, this is recommended as this allows the undertakers to arrive at the funeral service with the flowers and coffin together. We usually deliver at least 3 hours before the funeral takes place.
A Residential Address
If you require that your funeral tribute be delivered to a residential address it is advisable to ensure that someone is available to receive the delivery at a specific time. It is sometimes the case that the funeral will leave from a designated address, this way the flower tributes can be displayed for those in attendance prior to the funeral procession leaving for the service.
Church/Crematorium/Place of Worship
We wouldn’t recommend sending funeral tributes directly to a place of worship. There may not be someone available to receive the flowers and it can also cause some confusion regarding where they should be left. As professional florist’s we are also aware that flowers that are left outside are subject to a number of things that can go wrong such as weather exposure and we prefer to avoid accepting and undertaking this type of delivery instruction wherever possible.
Funeral and sympathy messages are quite difficult to compose during such a sad time. We recommend a few heartfelt words and sentiment will be appreciated. Here are a few examples that may help you:
With deepest sympathy from (your name)
With love and fond memories (name of deceased) from (your name)
(name of deceased) gone but not forgotton, may you rest in peace from (your name)
Always in our hearts and memories from (your name)
With deepest sympathy from (your name)
Thinking of you at this sad time from (your name)
Our hearts are filled with sorrow, love from (your name)
Now at peace, thinking of you with fond memories love from (your name)
